I am raising money this year for the light the night foundation. It’s my 3rd consecutive walk. In 2011 I left the hospital after a radiation treatment and I drove straight to the Boston Common to participate. I was too tired to do more than one lap but every time, it brings tears to my eyes to see all of the supporters who actually give a damn about people like me. Whether they are holding a gold lit up balloon to remember a loved one, a red one to represent being a supporter, or a white one to show that they are a fellow survivor… they care. They help to raise money and they care.
Feel free to remain anonymous if you prefer. Feel free to donate simply 5 dollars. Feel free to join my team and try to raise money alongside me.
Or just reblog. Just please act.
For those who don’t follow my other blogs: I am a survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and it’s important that research continue to be funded to help make the same strides that helped cure me 10 years ago. Even if you can’t donate, please reblog.
